Project Brief (Task): 
Collect images that would inspire a "clothing fashion company" that you will create throughout the course.  Include examples of the following things in the mood-board: color choices, typography, photography, images and illustrations, patterns, and figures.  Also look for samples of clothing tags, catalog design, and poster designs.  

Place and arrange the photos in your photoshop document.

What you need to begin:
Collect images from the internet and from photographs that you take to explore the ideas you have for the moodboard.  Place these in a folder on your desktop.

Vocabulary:
resolution—The term applies to raster digital images.  300dpi for Print resolution.  72dpi for screen resolution.
RGB—Red, Green, Blue.  Color mode used for screen images.
CMYK—Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black.  Color mode used for printing.
up-sample—Scaling an image larger than its original resolution. (bad practice)
down-sample—Scaling an image smaller than its original resolution. (good practice)
smart object—Smart Objects preserve an image’s source content with all its original characteristics, enabling you to perform nondestructive editing to the layer.
typography—the art of arranging type.

Tools covered:
Command + N (new document)
Resolution and color: RGB | Screen | 72dpi | Pixels | CMYK | Print | 300 dpi | Inches/ CM
Filenames: Alpha123_ (No: /-:; or spaces.)
Placing a file, move tool (command + M) Auto select, show transform
Rotate, resize (up sample vs. down sample)
Layer Stacking

Here are the steps to follow:
First. Create a photoshop document at 10 by 10 inches at 300dpi.
Next. Collage your color choices, typography, photography, images and illustrations, patterns and figures.
Now save the file as both .jpg and .psd files.
Lastly post your .jpg image to the class blog and save your .psd file in a safe place to use later.
Thats it.
Don't forget to comment on at least two of your classmates projects to get participation credit.

Save As: 
first_lastname_moodboard.psd (photoshop file)
first_lastname_moodboard.jpg (.jpg file for posting and delivery to the instructor)

Delivery:
Post your .jpg file to the class discussion board and give a brief description of your clothing company.

Assessment:  (7 points)
Comment of the mood boards of two of your classmates. (2 points)
Formal and Technical evaluation from the instructor (5 points)
